David Pearson, CEO/President
Mr. Pearson began his career in the private security field in 1997 while working the overnight shift as a security officer and putting himself through school to obtain his Criminal Justice degree. A lot has happened since those early days but the fact that Mr. Pearson has always had a passion to serve others has not. Mr. Pearson quickly established himself as a Security Professional and enjoyed all the dynamics that went into developing, leading, and carrying out an effective security plan for private individuals, businesses & events. If was at that point in time Mr. Pearson began Protection Specialists in March 2009. Since than it has always been a priority of Protection Specialists to provide clients with an elite security team dedicated to serving others with integrity and delivering an array of effective services. Protection Specialists strives to keep the personal attention and accessibility we promise to our clients. Protection Specialists are very selective in who we work with and only work with individuals and companies who practice similar core values.
Joseph Wright, Security Operations Specialist/Trainer
Joe has 10 years experience in law enforcement at state, county, and local levels. Experience in complex criminal investigations. Law enforcement trainer for 14 years. Criminal Justice Program Coordinator at Iowa Central Community College for 7 years and Campus Security Coordinator for 4 years. Joe instructs a wide variety of classes from foot/vehicle patrolling, conflict resolution, report writing, to policies and procedures to name a few.
Michael Burke, Risk Assessment Specialist/Trainer
Mikes lifelong passion has been dedicated to law enforcement and the security field. For 9 years Mike was the Director of Homeland Security Training Center at Iowa Central Community College and trained over 40,000 responders throughout the Midwest. He is an expert in Emergency Preparedness, anti terrorism, crisis management, workplace violence, and providing overall risk assessments.
